A random household representative sample survey of 515 in habitants, one month to 86 years of age, was carried out. Single stool specimens were collected. For identification of the coccidium, modified Ziehl-Neelsen carbolfuchsin staining of formalinether concentrates was used. Cyclosporal infections were detected in 43 8, 3% ; of 515 subjects.
